Term 3 Welcome post

In this post, I welcome you to the third and final term of my Art and Design module. This term, my intentions are clear, which is to improve on any mistakes that I have made in the last term and utilise all of the skills that I have learned in the upcoming project for this term. I would also like to learn more from my tutors and my research towards architecture because any knowledge will be helpful for me throughout my career path such as new software, terminologies and styles of architecture.

In the previous term, I struggled to manage my blogs and maintain a consistent record of my project's progress. However, I have learned from my past mistakes and aim to avoid them in the upcoming term. Despite putting in considerable effort during the last term, I was not satisfied with how I handled my project. Therefore, I plan to improve my approach this term and fulfil the marking criteria for the upcoming project. I will post consistently for my blogs and improve on presenting my work in my portfolio.

In this final term, I would like to learn how to use other software such as AUTOCAD and ArchiCAD 27. Learning new software can be useful because I can learn new things while sharpening my digital skills. In the last term, I had trouble finding software for my project and produced hand-drawn 2D outcomes. I would like to improve my 3D model-making skills. I was impressed with my 3D Model for the last term despite spending more time on my 3D model than on my blogs. In this term, I will divide my work evenly so that I finish my work in the amount of time given.

I am excited to see what this term has in store for me. I am looking forward to improving not only physically but also mentally. I will find the best perspective to approach the problems and solve them one by one. I am looking forward to this term's project and the research I will do for it.

  1. Good first post, clear and with some interesting thoughts on what you would like to achieve this term. Now is the time to post your initial ideas (mind map) and your development session drawings. Remember to send me your pre project tutorial sheet which we started to complete in the final Week 2 session.
