Location & 2D Site map

In this post, I will share the site plan I will be working on for my project, which is a family home.

Fig.1 Google Maps

In Figure 1, these are the roads of a neighbourhood in Cromwell after everything was burnt down (according to my project brief). I will be restoring the entire neighbourhood with new houses for the citizens of Cromwell. The area of the whole neighbourhood that I will be restoring is 188,408.1 m². This area of the neighbourhood has different roads that lead through it. There are four entrances to the neighbourhood, as shown in Figure 2. With this much land and entrances, there will be no need to add more entrances or roads to extend this neighbourhood. Access to roads will also be suitable for prefabricated construction, as I mentioned in my previous post. Construction vehicles such as trucks or forklifts can quickly enter and transport materials for construction without any issues.

For my project, I will create a showhouse located on Country Squire Dr, as illustrated in Fig. 3. The showhouse will have a road leading through it, making it easily accessible for visitors. Its area will be approximately 609.81m². Initially, I will focus on designing the entire neighbourhood and may consider additional designs for corner houses if time permits.

Below is a 2D, hand-drawn site maps of the neighbourhood that I will be restoring for my project.

  1. Wouldn't it be a good idea to talk about how you collaborated with the designer of the Primary School, to demonstrate how your design evolved as you progressed through the stages of this project?
